Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Manufacturing Engineer 3's for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.
100% Onsite. Candidates must be local or willing to re-locate prior to start at own expense.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering in Aerospace.
o 1+ years of experience supporting any Client Commercial Airplane program (737, 767, 777, 787).
o Ability to support 1st and 2nd shift including weekends on a rotating basis.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is recruiting an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the Production Engineering organization supporting the 787 Program in San Antonio, Texas. Airplanes in San Antonio are completing balance to-go burndowns, seats installation, storage and flight readiness activities.
o Enhancing and developing non-recurring build plans to support aircrafts during storage/re-activation/pre-flight activity.
o Review and support any open baseline SOW that needs completed.
o Review jobs and assist with the build by identifying the proper tools, processes, and sequences.
o Shipside support to identify process improvements and answer build questions.
o Coordination with Engineering functions on new and open nonconformances.
o Coordination with 787 Engineering Teams, including Everett and South Carolina Flightline.
o Support airplane induction activities to/from San Antonio.
o Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.
o Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Ability to contribute with minimum supervision.
o Previous or current experience with 787 Program and tools.
o Experience with and ability to gain access to Velocity, ENOVIA, IVT.
o Experience with build plan, processes, and shipside support.
o Experience with Interiors commodities.
o Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
WORK HOURS: MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING 1st, 2nd SHIFT.
