Assistant Executive Housekeeper is an active housekeeping position to assist the housekeeping department in overall cleanliness. Position is required to complete daily task including housekeeping room board, stayover service, inspections, and other duties as assigned.

Job Purpose: The purpose of the Assistant Executive Housekeeper is to supervise and manage the housekeeping department, in an effort to uphold the standards of cleanliness and service.
Primary Job Function
Directly supervise and coordinate work activities of cleaning personnel in hotels, hospitals, offices, and other establishments.
Essential Job Functions
· Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.
· Plan and prepare employee work schedules.
· Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary.
· Investigate complaints about service and equipment, and take corrective action.
· Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
· Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
· Confer with staff to resolve performance and personnel problems, and to discuss company policies.
· Establish and implement operational standards and procedures for the departments supervised.
· Maintain required records of work hours, budgets, payrolls, and other information.
· Advise managers, desk clerks, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy.
· Any other duties which may be required to ensure guest satisfaction.
Job Knowledge
· Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
· Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
· Education and Training - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
· Personnel and Human Resources - Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems
