Job Description

Mackenzie Eason is a client-centered Executive Search and Talent Management firm, bringing modern search and leadership practices to our clients.

At Mackenzie Eason, science and research drive our beliefs, which are represented in every process. We are a 21st-century Talent Firm that utilizes data analytics, psychology, and science & research to develop our models.

Culture, Core Values, and Vision are the foundation of all our searches. We know the importance of culture and finding the right candidate that will be a long-term fit. We know the best talent in the wrong environment or culture will fail. This is why Executive Search is no longer just about finding talent but finding the best talent that fits within a company's unique culture. We partner with our clients to thoroughly understand their culture and organizational vision from the onset of the engagement, tailoring the search to identify candidates that will fit seamlessly into an organization and further ensure long-term success. We know clients rely on us for our extensive network, unparalleled industry knowledge, and proven results — but we also know that fully understanding individual client needs and cultivating client relationships elevates the level of service we bring to each engagement.

Mackenzie Eason is growing and seeking smart, innovative individuals who can grow with us. We work with large Fortune 100 clients to small businesses, and every day is unique.

Vision
We are seeking a dynamic Search Consultant who can effectively communicate with individuals from the C-Suite down, enjoys engaging with people daily, possesses a high empathy skill set that enables them to understand others and their backgrounds, and can connect with people easily.

Working at Mackenzie Eason will be a one-of-a-kind experience, and you will get practical experience, as well as hands-on training and coaching. You will gain exposure to the entire executive search process and play an instrumental role in meeting the needs and exceeding the expectations of our clients.

What You Can Expect
Our goal is to provide our Search Consultant with immersive experiences to build a foundation on Industrial & Organizational Psychology best practices, combined with years of experience in consulting and executive search. We expect you to be an active member of our team. That means you will be asked to own projects, have a point-of-view, meet deadlines, and join in on all of the nitty-gritty of our day-to-day work.
The Intern will be exposed to various areas of the executive search process, including but not limited to the following responsibilities:
  • Conducting research to find passive candidates for open positions
  • Creating marketing materials for open positions
  • Conducting Topgrading interviews
  • Writing candidate biographies that are thorough and factually accurate
  • Working professionally and harmoniously with the Mackenzie Eason team
  • Assisting with other projects and duties as assigned
Requirements and Experiences :
  • Confidence to actively reach out to Executives via phone and email
  • Ability to quickly learn, do, and continue to grow
  • Affable approach to connecting with people
  • Excellent communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Professional business image and excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience working through challenging situations/projects and the ability to continue until the project is completed
  • Experience with computers, technology, and ability to use programs and the internet for research
  • A high degree of efficiency in writing and experience in proper writing, grammar, and spelling
Abilities :
  • Outgoing- Recruiters always "on" and must exude enthusiasm. They must be a cheerful conduit between two parties trying to advance their own, often disparate agendas.
  • Patience- Some searches are no-brainers, but most take unimaginable twists and turns, and you must be able to stay flexible, pivot, and see each project through till the end.
  • Creative- More companies are looking outside of their traditional talent pools, and recruiters must know when to introduce candidates with new perspectives.
  • Resourceful- Not every search for a new executive starts from scratch, but extensive research is the foundation of every new project. Knowing where to look is pivotal. Recruiters also must be resourceful when attempting to reach ultimate decision-makers who are protected by layers of naysayers.
  • Empathetic- Hiring is stressful for employers. So is changing jobs. Understanding these pressures is crucial to helping both sides feel they finished as long-term winners.
  • Observant- You must see things as they really are rather than as clients or candidates want you to see them. Only alert and sensitive executive recruiters can recognize red flags and misperceptions to vet candidates and see past the façade.
  • Resilient - A high tolerance for rejection is a must as it will frequently happen in this line of work. The best recruiters know how to bounce back.
At Mackenzie Eason, we follow a  Talent Philosophy for our Employees, Clients, and Vendors.

Performance:
At MEA, we have high expectations. Ultimately, we are judged by clients on our performance. We don't just meet client expectations; we set out to exceed them. If we don't, everyone suffers financially.
Behaviors:
We have fun. We are a family. We care about each other personally and professionally. We respect each other. We share our successes, putting the success of the team and Mackenzie Eason before our own; we encourage and empower each other and always try to be a positive influence in our community. Ultimately, we are all smart people and have the expectation that we will think independently and encourage everyone to use their voice and speak up.
Growth/ Differentiation:
We challenge ourselves to grow continually. We push ourselves out of our comfort zone. Ultimately, we are rewarded on the job we do, and we expect everyone to continue on an upward trajectory path to grow themselves and the company.
Transparency:
We don't believe in groupthink. At Mackenzie Eason, we value diverse opinions and direct feedback. Resentment is left at the door. We always try to approach conversations in the "right" way but ultimately, we expect conversations to be truthful, honest, and transparent
Accountability:
We are all accountable for ourselves and each other. We each do what we say we are going to do. Ultimately, we all make mistakes. Own them and learn from them.

Education Requirements
A four-year degree is preferred, but experience is acceptable in lieu of a four-year degree.

Compensation and Benefits
A salary, along with quarterly and yearly bonuses. Opportunity for a hybrid schedule for flexibility for accountable candidates.
