Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant and Proposal Development:
    • Research, draft, and prepare high-quality grant proposals and RFPs to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
    • Develop persuasive narratives that align with the organization's mission and meet funder guidelines.
  • Funding Research:
    • Identify and evaluate prospective funding opportunities through comprehensive research.
    • Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with executive leadership, program staff, and development teams to gather necessary information and align proposals with Liberty's mission and goals.
    • Serve as a liaison between Liberty and funding agencies during the application process.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare and maintain detailed records of grant applications, submissions, and outcomes.
    • Assist in drafting progress reports and compliance documentation for funders as required.
  • Strategic Contribution:
    • Contribute to the development of fundraising strategies and initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain a repository of frequently used proposal content to streamline future submissions.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in grant management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred)
    • Experience:
        • Extensive experience in writing and preparing RFPs and grant proposals with a proven track record of securing funding.
        • Familiarity with funding sources relevant to the healthcare and community services sectors.
      • Skills:
        • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with strong attention to detail.
        • Strong research and analytical skills.
        • Knowledge of grant and proposal guidelines, including funder compliance requirements.
        • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
        • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
