Job Description

The Bank Teller/CSR will be the first point of contact for customers, both in person and over the telephone. The Bank Teller provides superior customer service, in a friendly and courteous manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Cashes checks and disburses funds after verifying signatures and sufficiency of funds to support withdrawals.
• Accepts deposits, confirming accuracy of transaction.
• Prepares, verifies, and issues cashiers' checks.
• Enters transactions in bank's recordkeeping system, recording all transactions and producing customer receipts.
• Calculates daily transactions using appropriate technology.
• Balances all monies in cash drawers at the end of shifts.
• Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiable instruments and confidential records.
• Answers customer inquiries and refers customers to appropriate personnel.
• Provides information and answers questions regarding bank products, services, interest rates, fees and bank policies.
• Ability to open a variety of new accounts for customers including checking, certificates of deposits, savings, IRA's and others.
• Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote new banking services.
• Use the essential skills of effective communication and listening to meet the financial needs of customers and develop customer relationships.
• Other duties as assigned by branch management

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
• May need to stand or long periods of time

Part-time; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 11:30am-4:30pm; 15-20 hours per week
