**Summary**
**SUMMARY** : Provides administrative analysis and specialized support for Perioperative Services; responsible for product standardization; facilitation and coordination of product conversions; performing cost analyses; contract compliance, project recall management, and purchase order initiation.
**DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** : NOTE: Following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
1. Acts as liaison between Surgical Services Management and vendor representatives.
2. Acts as the initial point of contact for analysis of new product requests within the Perioperative environment.
3. Assists other Purchasing staff, as necessary, including the purchasing of commodities/products; expediting existing orders; creating POs for purchases of capital equipment.
4. Assists with ensuring/monitoring contract pricing compliance for goods and services.
5. Co-Chairs Perioperative Value Analysis Team (VAC) Committee.
6. Coordinates product conversion processes.
7. Develops guidelines and procedures for product standardization within the Perioperative environments.
8. Is responsible for Charge Description Master (CDM) review for appropriate reimbursement.
9. Monitors consignment inventory in the Perioperative environments.
10. Performs complex analysis of products and usage for standardization purposes and makes recommendations.
11. Performs cost analyses; reports opportunities for efficiencies to Management.
12. Performs other duties as needed.
13. Prepares ad-hoc reports and correspondence for AHS management.
14. Represents the Perioperative Services on subcommittees.
15. Reviews product storage within the Perioperative environments.
16. Oversee and track product recalls.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** :
Preferred Education: Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university.
Required Experience: Five years' experience in Perioperative Purchasing or as a Surgical Technologist or Coordinator.
