Job Summary

Proformance Builder Solutions is seeking a skilled Residential Painter to join our team and support our new construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to interior and exterior surfaces of newly built residential homes. This role requires a strong eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results that meet builder and homeowner expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, caulking, patching, and priming.
  • Apply paints, stains, and coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
  • Ensure proper coverage, uniformity, and finish quality according to project specifications.
  • Protect surrounding areas from paint spills, drips, and overspray using drop cloths, tape, and other protective measures.
  • Work efficiently to meet project timelines and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure quality and adherence to builder and company standards.
  • Maintain painting equipment and tools, ensuring they are clean and in proper working order.
  • Follow safety guidelines, including the proper handling of materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, builders, and team members to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience as a residential or new construction painter.
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods.
  • Ability to use various painting tools and equipment, including airless sprayers.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and proper handling of paints, solvents, and chemicals.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials (up to 50 lbs) and work on ladders or scaffolding as needed.
  • Must have and maintain a clean drivers license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and able to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in new construction residential painting.
  • Familiarity with builder specifications and industry standards.
  • OSHA certification or other relevant safety training.
