As a **Security Officer - Armed** in **San Jose, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation Site and more . As a Patrol Armed Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain authorized weapons while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will interact with the public and staff, responding to situations as needed and supporting a secure environment. Our team values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and working together with integrity. **Position Type: Full Time** **Pay Rate: $26.23 / Hour** **Job Schedule:** **Day** **Time** Mon11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Tue11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM **Responsibilities:** + Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. + Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions. + Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activities and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents. + Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when necessary. + Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations. + Support access control measures and verify identification as required by site policies. **Minimum Requirements:** + Must possess a valid California .40 Caliber License. + Must have a valid Armed Guard Card/License. + Must have an Armed Designation as required by the state of California. + Must possess a valid California Security Professional Guard Card. + Must have experience in firearms care and maintenance. + Must acknowledge and comply with all firearms policies and procedures. + Must be proficient in the use of handcuffs, pepper spray, baton, and sidearm as required for armed posts. + Must have at least 6 months of security experience. + Must possess a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements. + Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Participate in industry-specific security training programs. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. **Perks and Benefits:** + Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions + Schedules that fit with your personal life goals + Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities + Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more...
