Our client is a mid-sized public accounting firm (tax and audit) that has attractive work-life balance and has very solid benefits. They will require visiting the office once per quarter and highly prefer Florida candidates. The team is now looking for a Senior Tax Accountant that will take part into the company's a great collaborative environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$85k

Position Overview:

The Senior Tax Accountant will be preparing and filing various tax returns and handling compliance and accounting for corporate income taxes.

Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Accountant:

• Prepare and file multi-state, Federal and State tax returns for C-Corporations and Partnerships, including extensions and estimated payments
• Prepare federal and state consolidated tax returns and interface with corporate operating companies
• Identify, research and resolve tax issues
• Perform corporate income tax functions, compliance, planning and accounting
• Calculate tax basis and implications of proposed transactions
• Handle voluntary disclosures
• Analyze tax accounts and maintain communication with tax authorities
• Continuously research and stay updated with current tax laws and regulations

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Tax Accountant:

• Minimum 2 years of experience at another public accounting/CPA firm.
• Highly analytical and strong communication skills.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
