Summary of Position: The role of an Summer Intern Assistant is to share life with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and other Assistants in relationships of mutuality, to support the individuals in daily life activities, and to live fully the identity and mission of L’Arche in the context of an intentional faith community.

Past interns have included students in medicine, nursing, social work, and philosophy. In addition to these, students in occupational therapy, physical therapy, theology, or special education will benefit from their summer in L'Arche.
