We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join a dynamic virtual learning environment. Position Overview
As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and delivering personalized learning experiences for students with unique needs in a virtual classroom setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, excellent online teaching skills, and a proficiency with technology to enhance student engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver individualized instruction through virtual platforms, tailored to meet the diverse needs of each student
Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with federal and state guidelines
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure that students receive the necessary accommodations and modifications to succeed
Keep detailed, accurate records of student progress and IEP documentation
Lead virtual meetings with parents, guardians, staff, and other stakeholders to discuss progress and needs
Provide guidance and support to families on strategies for supporting students' learning at home
Participate in ongoing professional development and collaborative team meetings to continuously improve instructional practices

Qualifications

A Master's degree in Special Education (or a related field)
Valid Special Education teaching license in South Carolina
At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a school or virtual setting
Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and educational technology
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with students and families in an online setting
Experience in writing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
A collaborative team player who can also work independently with attention to detail
